Name: INJEMIRA REDFORD J006 (P)

A homozygous poll son of Redford that is without doubt breeding better than his sire. Retained at Injemira for the purpose to join heifers. He has really surprised us and has bred the house down. Its hard for 2 y/o heifers to compete with cows to get bulls in the sale team but the sons of Redford J006 out of 2 y/o heifers have all made the sale bar a couple. That is the sign of a true breeding sire, consistency is the key! His calves are really low birth weight and when on the ground just grow and put on muscle. After the data from his first drop of calves was entered into Breedplan his data went through the roof with low birth, tremendous growth and EMA and IMF% being breed leading. That was without doubt the most impressive breeding herd I visited on my trip. His grandmother was the cow I picked out of a group of 180 females and his sire was an absolute “meat machine”. His paternal bloodline has had progeny sell to $195,000 CAN. We were very lucky to source Bender as he carries the Canadian pedigree I desired along with a very strong maternal Australian pedigree. Name: VALMA ODYSSEY D50 (P)

Our industry is crying out for carcass and yield and this sire has it in spades. Odyssey was a sire that stood out to me at Dubbo National 2010 despite finishing down the order in his class. I was not alone as he went on to top the sale at $46,000 with Injemira right in the bidding at the end. A semen package was secured and some great sons are currently on the ground in the 2012 drop calves. A MSA sire if I have ever seen one!

Pedigree: [ click here ]

Name: DAYS WIZARD F84 (P)

A new addition to our Stud Sires in 2012. Wizard F84 had the most outstanding set of EBVs (look at the indexes) of all the clean polled sires at Wodonga National 2012 and sold accordingly making $18,000. His phenotype is very hard to fault with length and carcass in all the right places. The thing that really draws you to this pedigree is his dam, Dawn Z21 which is arguably the best cow in the Days/Allendale herds. Such a strong female line gives us the confidence this sire will really contribute to our breeding program.

Pedigree: [ click here ]

Name: VALMA FOREMAN F35 (S)

Another addition to our sire group in 2012 from the renowned commercially orientated herd of Valma. Foreman is an eye catching individual that when you stand behind is very thick and correct. Perfect whiteface cosmetics are combined in this outcross pedigree for Injemira. Foreman has been used heavily in 2012 backing up our AI programs. A sire that may not necessarily breed the next sale topper but I am sure will have sons that tick all the boxes for the commercial breeder looking for carcass and structural soundness.

Pedigree: [ click here ]

Name: REDGATE REDFORD D935 AI (P)

Here is a curve bending sire that will really contribute to our program. Just have a look at his calving ease, birth weight and high growth that gives you the outstanding indexes well and truly in the top percentiles of the breed.

I have been looking for a Rocket son for a number of years but structure and carcass has held me back from blindly following the EBVs, until I saw Redford, whom has it all.

Redford has had semen marketed all over the world including to Europe, South America and South Africa. At Injemira, we have used Redford as an AI sire and naturally over basically all our polled heifers.

A specialist heifer bull that will really hit the mark with sons into the future.

Pedigree: [ click here ]

Calves on the ground at Injemira in 2012 have great thickness and butt shape. A bull that should enhance our program............... time will tell!

Pedigree: [ click here ]

Name: INJEMIRA BENDER E034

You only have to look at the length and stretch of Bender E034 to appreciate that he carries all the $$ making attributes required for a stud sire. He was one of our first Bender sons and went onto be one of the top sellers at our 2011 sale selling for $10,000 to John Wyld’s, Koolomurt herd. He was used as a yearling at Injemira and semen has been retained for future use. This bull was the heaviest calf for 200, 400 and 600 days weights for his entire drop and combined with the new outcross genetics gives this bull and exciting future. A strong female line is present with his dam being an exceptional donor female at Injemira.
