Apart from the obvious highlights of, in 2008 sons selling to an Australian year record of $45,000 and a further 12 sons sold at Injemira to average $9,200 in that year. The great legacy Aberdeen has left on the Injemira herd is the quality daughters. They are big volume females with great udders and excellent feet and legs. The females are something a successful breeding herd can be built around and they are no exception at Injemira.

This record breaking $45,000 sire was used at Injemira both naturally and through AI before he made the journey north to new owners Jarrah Cattle Company, Rockhampton, QLD. Name: Rilo Park Bender A2 (P)

Bender is the stud sire that has really hit the mark. He is a sire that stamps his progeny with quality. His bloodlines are impeccable coming from the Remitall herd I inspected in Canada. That was without doubt the most impressive breeding herd I visited on my trip. His grandmother was the cow I picked out of a group of 180 females and his sire was an absolute “meat machine”. His paternal bloodline has had progeny sell to $195,000 CAN. We were very lucky to source Bender as he carries the Canadian pedigree I desired along with a very strong maternal Australian pedigree. A great son sold at Injemira in 2011 to top the polled sires selling for $14,000 to Koolomurt Pastoral Co.

Name: Debarry Ruggero Y72 (S)

Ruggero was purchased for $16,000 for the use as a “heifer” bull with outstanding EBVs and sired by the World Class Bowen Vincent out of a maternal line that has given our industry Hustler, he is true blue blood of the whiteface industry. His calves are that good we have not only limited him to heifers but also given him exposure to some of Injemira's top cows. The sons have impressed with their softness and great carcass attributes along with a tremendous proven calving ease. A top all round stud sire that produces low birth weights with good growth. A son sold in 2011 for $10,000 to our great supporters Michael & Helen McCourt from Woakwine at Millicent, SA.

Artist was purchased at Dubbo in 2007 for $10,000. He was a class winner and was the most complete sire in the catalogue with a terrific IMF% EBV. He was purchased as a proven outcross sire for Injemira

to consolidate IMF% and maintain frame, he has certainly done this. Sons sold in 2010 to a top of $9000 and have gone to their new owners and have excelled, with clients stating they will be back for more

Name: BBSF 3K Ranchman 18R SIC (P)

Ranchman was selected whilst I was in Canada and in my opinion the stand-out polled sire at the Canadian Agribition. A deep bodied, good coated striking individual with all his meat in the right places. Ranchman has been used lightly at Injemira initially to 'test him out' and the strength of his daughters means he will be used heavily in the years to come. A very good outcross sire.

Name: Pine Hill Erik Y601 (AI) (S)

Erik is a striking individual. Purchased by Eulameet as the top priced sire at Pinehill in 2006 for $20,000 he has impressed at Injemira moving from a strictly heifer AI sire to being used over the cow herd for the last season. A great set of EBVs. The feedback I have been getting from clients and our commercial program has been excellent.

Name: Merawah Thunder W31 (P)

Thunder is a sire that I just had to use. His commercial attributes are tremendous with moderate frame, thickness and proven maternal qualities. You should see the daughters from his first flush! More Thunder calves are expected to enter the Injemira herd in the years to come. A stud sire that producers top commercially focused bulls.

Our leading Hustler son ever bred at Injemira. Have a look at his exceptional pedigree and EBVs. A sire that matured into an impressive individual, he topped our 2006 sale selling Eulameet for $16,000. With Hustler Z108 in the pedigree you can expect tall framed, long bodied with females of absolute femininity. I would say he has bred better at Injemira than Hustler himself.

Name: Bowen Westwind Z136 AI (P)

Westwind was first noticed by Injemira due to his outstanding set of EBVs and after inspection he had to enter our herd. One of the top priced sires at Bowen's production sale in 2006 this young sire is one of those individuals that doesn't miss. A strong calf every time! This performance is backed by strong cosmetics and paddock appeal.

McLarty E164 is a new acquisition to our program in 2011. A great young sire with style, softness and that all important commercial power. We are certainly looking forward to what E164 brings to our program. Will keep you updated when calves hit the ground but all looks very good so far.

Name: Valma Odyssey D50 (P)

Our industry is crying out for carcass and yield and this sire has it in spades. Odyssey was a sire that stood out to me at Dubbo National 2010 despite finishing down the order in his class. I was not alone as he went on to top the sale at $46,000 with Injemira right in the bidding at the end. A semen package was secured and some great sons are currently on the ground in the 2012 drop calves. A MSA sire if I have ever seen one!

Pedigree: [ click here ]

Name: Days Wizard F84 (P)

A new addition to our Stud Sires in 2012. Wizard F84 had the most outstanding set of EBVs (look at the indexes) of all the clean polled sires at Wodonga National 2012 and sold accordingly making $18,000. His phenotype is very hard to fault with length and carcass in all the right places. The thing that really draws you to this pedigree is his dam, Dawn Z21 which is arguably the best cow in the Days/Allendale herds. Such a strong female line gives us the confidence this sire will really contribute to our breeding program.

Pedigree: [ click here ]

Name: Valma Foreman F35 (S)

Another addition to our sire group in 2012 from the renowned commercially orientated herd of Valma. Foreman is an eye catching individual that when you stand behind is very thick and correct. Perfect whiteface cosmetics are combined in this outcross pedigree for Injemira. Foreman has been used heavily in 2012 backing up our AI programs. A sire that may not necessarily breed the next sale topper but I am sure will have sons that tick all the boxes for the commercial breeder looking for carcass and structural soundness.

Pedigree: [ click here ]

Name: Redgate Redford D935 AI (P)

Here is a curve bending sire that will really contribute to our program. Just have a look at his calving ease, birth weight and high growth that gives you the outstanding indexes well and truly in the top percentiles of the breed.

I have been looking for a Rocket son for a number of years but structure and carcass has held me back from blindly following the EBVs, until I saw Redford, whom has it all.

Redford has had semen marketed all over the world including to Europe, South America and South Africa. At Injemira, we have used Redford as an AI sire and naturally over basically all our polled heifers.

A specialist heifer bull that will really hit the mark with sons into the future.

Pedigree: [ click here ]

Name: WLB Samsonite 54W (IMP) (P)

Samsonite (Pictured @ 9 Months) is a bull that will fit into the Injemira breeding philosophy of carcass & yield with structure perfectly. A bull absolutely bred in the purple with his dam Fran 82S being the Grand Champion Female at Canadian Western Agribition 2009 along with some outstanding North American sires scattered throughout his paternal side. Calves on the ground at Injemira in 2012 have great thickness and butt shape. A bull that should enhance our program............... time will tell!

Pedigree: [ click here ]

Name: Injemira Bender E034

You only have to look at the length and stretch of Bender E034 to appreciate that he carries all the $$ making attributes required for a stud sire. He was one of our first Bender sons and went onto be one of the top sellers at our 2011 sale selling for $10,000 to John Wyld’s, Koolomurt herd. He was used as a yearling at Injemira and semen has been retained for future use. This bull was the heaviest calf for 200, 400 and 600 days weights for his entire drop and combined with the new outcross genetics gives this bull and exciting future. A strong female line is present with his dam being an exceptional donor female at Injemira.
